As we rise to the surface after a long night’s work from the bottom of the deeps, we enter the world better known as, "Life in the Shadows of the Shafts". Read on and follow the life and times of our boomer years, your boomer years and you can transcend into the past, and enjoy……………….
A unique collection of Storied Poems; identifying and capturing the true mosaic of Mining Life, as lived by generations, In Company Homes, in Company Towns, where Coal Mining was Paramount,
and every single strand of life evolved around the World of Coal, as It was the Currency, by which the lively-hood of Mining Folk, were Bought, Traded, and Sold.
So; in this book entitled, "In the Shadows of the Shafts", the snap-shots of Life, every-day life, by all elements of the Family unit, young and old, as told in Poetic form, emulate the real meaning of what the Events of many Lifetimes meant to Hundreds of Thousands of mining People, transcended over the decades of family after family, and now brought back into full view, in words, pictures, story and rhyme in place for History to enjoy Forever and a day…..thank-you and enjoy the ride on the old steel rails.
